Transition and Swim Course:

The transition area is located on  the lower south parking lot of the Mount Vernon Canyon Club parking lot.  Each rack has room for four bicycles and each rack will be numbered.

The swim course is 75 yards NE of the transition area.  The swim is a 525 yard swim in a 25 yard 6 lane pool where each lane will have 4 swimmers starting on the east end of the pool with lifeguards counting each swimmers laps.  Swimmers will exit the pool on the west end and run down to the  transtion area to begin the bike.

The 3 mile run course is run the roads of the Mount Vernon Country Club.  Most of the run is on dirt roads with 3 short climbs.  There are aid stations at miles 1 and 2.  A run course map is not posted as it all on private land and pre-running is prohibited.

The bike course is a 10 mile counter-clockwise loop on the paved roads of the Lookout Mountain area.  There will be State Patrol and Jeffco Sheriff providing traffic control at all left hand turns, though the rules of road will take precedent.  Racers will climb just under 1,000' along the course including a 14% climb up Paradise Road.  It is truly a short but challenging bike course.
